5. New Korean president Lee M B's plan of starting more english based education in Korea has been revealed and there had been lot of criticism. Over 90% of the population is against it and said it would not work out. While I was reading their replies and responses, I have learned more about our personality. First of all, Koreans have negative view of starting, changing and renewing. They are afraid of the new. This is ofcourse in terms of culture. The new Bus system, renovation of Chung Gae Chun, and Separate Lanes for Buses, were all criticised heavliy although we are taking lot of benefits from it today. Secondly, Koreans have lot of pride. Some think we'll fotget how to speak Korean and think that we are adopting Alien's language. Since we have been living in a small country, our thoughts are very narrow. Thirdly, Koreans love criticising. A small mistake on an internet article will be pointed out and criticised by hundreds of people. This problems in indifferent in Handong. Due to difference in view point, students fight over their belief resulting over hundred replied articles. There are clear, distinguishable advantages of english speaking countires. For example, Indian Institude of Technology has been sending their students to organization such as NASA, microsoft etc, because they were able to communicate. Koreans are very talented with science and maths. If students of KAIST new english, they would have been hired by world famous orgainaztions. I hope Korean schools adopt Handong's system so we could be global leaders.

English is not the only key to becoming global leaders. When Koreans start changing their "negative view of starting, changing and renewing", then they will be ahead of everyone else - worldwide, not only in Korea. The Global community will not adjust according to Korean ways. Korea has to adjust to the Global community's ways.
Good viewpoint ^^
