Introduction
"Fun" is something that attracts people of young, old, rich, poor, and just about all. It makes people intriguing and and brings laughter. This is a universal concept. However, the new leading trend, today, is FUNOLOGY. It is a word combined of fun and technology. By knowing this basic human nature, one can become a successful consumer or a very rich businessman.

Market Application
Then how can this fun and funology concept be applied to the market industries which prevails throughout the world? There are many markets and industry competition among the companies. Products or services have no longer meaning in their original context. We live in a world where beauty prevails and fun supports these concepts of beauty. For example, even a mug is no longer just a ceramic cup with a handle. There are many colorful textures with different pictures of characters or designs. So as a competitive company, how can you distinguish your products or services from the others? People like to see different functions in electronics that are accessible through easier understanding. They also like every-day products--cups, knives, furnitures, wallsheets, and etc--in different colors and designs; people will no longer suffer the dullness of a product for its main purposes only. Then in terms of retailers or shops to provide these products or services, what kind of efffects will it have in terms of interior design, architectural atmosphere, and services of workers? They better have something attracting to lure consumers into their shops. Let the consumers interact with products before purchase and let them enjoy their shopping more. There are so many more ideas and fields businesses can explore and create. So the goal is to know the evolving psychology of the consumers.
Conclusion
Businesses need to be aware of the upcoming trends, hence become the "trend catcher". They also need to be aware of the power of simplicity. Generally, consumers seek easier, faster, more modern, stronger, and etc. products, however, if the product or service requires of complex function for the consumers to be aware of then it is no good. Because each generation has its own taste of preferrence, businesses must continue to know that trend. Being fun and simple is all there is to it to engrasp the attraction of the consumers and take hold of the market.
