Usually when new OS is released, people purchase new computers according to the system requirement of the OS. Back in 2001, when Windows XP was released, there was huge increase in PC sales. Windows Vista was expected to bring similar outcome, however it decreased sales of computers in Korea due to many problems.
What are the major problems of Windows Vista?
According to the poll that was carried out by vista4beginners.com, the two major problems Vista had was lack of proper drivers and application compatability issues. The problem that most bothered the Koreans was the speed problems. Koreans found the Vista OS too slow in processing. Vista continously faces problems not only with application but also with web interactions. Some software and driver companies mention on their websites that their product is no compatable with Windows Vista. These issues resulted big firms to cancel their PC upgrade.
Major PC manufacturers such as HP, Dell, Samsung, LG use Windows Vista as basic option, and they are already in contract with Microsoft to provide Vista along with their PC. Therefore buyers are waiting for modified Vista with fixed problem.
